Friday Evening

We are about ready to get some sleep but thought we would post a quick update. Shannon has done well today. Her pressures have remained good as time has continued to march onward. Aaron made it in this afternoon and was able to spend some time talking to the attending physician for the PICU, reviewing Shannon's charts and checking out her CT scans. It was great to see him and to watch him understand all the stuff that all too often seems way over our heads.
As far as Shannon's treatments are concerned, the day has been blessedly uneventful. We hope that will continue through the night and throughout the day tomorrow. We are looking for a "Steady as she goes" report as we march on toward the 72 and 96 hour marks. As we look at her, it seems that the swelling around her nose and cheeks is less than before. That is not necessarily one of the key factors that the medical professionals are monitoring, but we see it as something desirable.
We expressed again our appreciation for your faith and prayers, for the fasting that has been done for Shannon. Thanks for your comments and your expressions of support for her and for us. We are strengthened and blessed by your concern and kindness.
